Meet the Team

Lucy (She/Her) is a Director and Artistic Director, specializing in the development and presentation of new plays, and is passionate about championing playwrights and women in theatre. Lucy founded New Ghosts Theatre Company in 2015 and the IGNITE Collective in 2019 - NGTC’s women-led, inclusive collective of theatre makers from across the nation, formed with the mission of putting new women-driven stories on Australian stages. To date, Lucy has developed eight world premiere Australian plays with NGTC - five of which were through the IGNITE Collective - which have played on stages across Perth, Sydney and Darwin. Additionally, she has staged four Australian premieres of top international plays, all of which have played to sold out houses and received 4.5 and 5 star reviews. Together, these productions have showcased over 100 Australian theatre makers, and have created 30 new stage roles for women performers. In 2023, Lucy’s production of Albion was nominated for five Sydney Theatre Awards, and was the winner of Best Independent Production and Best Direction of an Independent Production. In 2024, Lucy began her tenure at the Old Fitz Theatre, and also made her operatic directorial debut at Pinchgut Opera with Dido and Aeneas.

Emma Wright (She/Her) is a Bond University graduate with a Bachelor of Film and Television (2015), and a Diploma from The Actors Studio London (2018). She works across disciplines as an actor, producer and playwright, having collaborated with companies including Sport For Jove, Queensland Theatre, Riverside Theatres, and Monkey Baa. She has previously produced for Australian Theatre Live, Eye Contact Theatre Company, Secret House, and Corvus Arts Theatre. In her practice, Emma eagerly combines a deep love for the classics with a passion for developing and staging new work and diversifying the Australian theatre canon. She firmly believes in the power of theatre to reach deep and coax us from our echo chambers, to challenge biases, stereotypes and stigmas, and initiate informed, empathetic and actionable conversation - all whilst entertaining. Emma joined New Ghosts Theatre Company as a Producer in 2022, and is honoured to take on the role of Executive Producer at the Old Fitz Theatre in 2024.

Izzy (she/her) is a recent graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), receiving a BFA in Technical Theatre & Stage Management. She is an emerging lighting artist who is interested in lighting design for various mediums of live performance. With a background in visual arts, Izzy has used her knowledge of art theory and practice to influence her eye for lighting. Izzy is excited to explore the different forms and performance styles lighting design can be utilised in. With previous experience in large-scale sports events, gallery installations, and live performances, Izzy continues to grow as a multi-medium artist.

Virginia began her position as Box Office Manager at the Old Fitz Theatre in 2021, under the Red Line Productions Management. The New Ghosts Theatre Company team were thrilled to retain Virginia when they were passed over management in 2024. Virginia’s role includes; managing Front of House crew, managing IWannaTicket portals, and providing customer service to Old Fitz Theatre patrons.

Izzy Williams is an actor and producer based in Sydney. A graduate from Actors Centre Australia, her theatre credits include Ilse in ‘Spring Awakening’ (dir. Sarah Carradine), Linda Rotunda in 'Savage in Limbo' (dir. Troy Harrison), Honey in 'Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' (dir. Flynn Hall), Rosalind in 'Love’s Labour’s Lost' (dir. Jennifer West), Angelica in 'Love for Love' (dir. Anthony Skuse) and Anna in 'Burn This' (dir. Anthony Gooley). Izzy performed as Kiki in Australia’s premiere of the Broadway comedy ‘Significant Other’ (dir. Hayden Tonazzi) at the New Theatre, and Bubba Ryan in ‘Summer of the Seventeenth Doll’ (dir. Damien Ryan) for Sport for Jove’s symposium season. Izzy was Hippolita in The Company’s production of ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore’ in 2022, as well as Tess in ‘The Female of The Species’ in 2023 (dir. Olivia Hall-Smith). As a producer, Izzy has worked with Ryskus Productions, LooseEnd Productions, The Company Theatre and Sydney Fringe. In June 2024, Izzy produced 'King James' alongside Aaron Glenane at the Old Fitz Theatre, and in October 2024 Izzy is producing a brand new musical, 'Fuccbois: Live in Concert', also at the Old Fitz.

Tamasin (She/Her) has broad experience in strategic roles across the public and private sectors, beginning her career as a Deloitte management consultant and then moving into the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet. For the past two years she has worked in strategic planning for School Infrastructure NSW. Tamasin also has a number of years experience in the running of not-for-profit organisations, having previously been the Chief Executive Officer of the Conference of Australian & Indonesia Youth (CAUSINDY).

Rosie (She/Her) has a background in program management and arts administration, skills she first developed while working as a freelance jazz musician in Sydney. Her passion for supporting artists led her to work at the Australia Council for the Arts and currently as the Orchestra Manager of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. With over 10 years’ experience in the industry Rosie brings to the NGTC Board her specialisation in event administration and people management skills.

Thulaisi (He/Him) is a published researcher focused on investigating the relationship between tax, retirement income and healthcare expenditure. He brings more than 15 years’ experience in analysing, interpreting, connecting and communicating quantitative and qualitative data to the New Ghosts Theatre Company Board of Directors.

Pierce (He/Him) is a media lawyer, now working at the Office of the eSafety Commissioner after several years working with content makers at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He is also an accomplished writer and musician, and is passionate about local arts and artists

Sid (He/Him) is an experienced Marketing and Advertising professional with over ten years experience helping Australia’s biggest brands connect better with customers and stakeholders. He brings years of experience in communications, production, branding and customer relationship management. He currently works in a senior role in Client Services in the advertising industry.
