September 5 - 14
Sour Cherry Productions presents
PROBE
Written by Becca Hurd
Directed by Rachel Chant
A WORLD PREMIERE
“What do you do when your idol f***s up?”
It’s 2021. Griffin Thornby has been canceled via a blogpost condemning him of sexual misconduct. Holly’s in his hotel room Covid-testing him for his upcoming film project. But that’s not really why she’s here.
Provoking questions around gender imbalances, retribution, and the morality of ‘good men’, PROBE is a self-aware exploration into the grey areas of Hollywood’s abuse of power.
Having spent lockdown in a series of hotel rooms Covid-testing celebrities, playwright Becca Hurd (Sydney Fringe Award Nominee) premieres her biting new play at the Old Fitz, directed by Rachel Chant (The Memory of Water, The Village Bike).
