FITZen Sink: a Kitchen Sink Mini-Fest
Sydney, let's get weird
Now in its third year, Everything but the Kitchen Sink Fest is a celebration of new work by the next generation of local theatre makers that toys with the fourth wall like a cat with a ball of yarn. Two shows - A Butterfly Farted and Monologue Roulette - will be played together, back-to-back. A two-for-one dose of theatrical daring.
A Butterfly Farted by Linda Chong
A spoken word poet, storyteller and silly goose walk into a kebab shop as one person. But what they really want is KFC and an end to racism. Also, why is everything so funny?
Monologue Roulette by Joel Burrows
Get prepped for the most buckwild game show of all time. ‘Cause when the Monologue Roulette Wheel stops spinning, it will land on a challenge that a contestant must complete. The wheel may require a player to drink a bottle of hot sauce, but do so while reciting a dramatic monologue. The wheel may demand that a player make out with an anime body pillow, but do so while reciting a dramatic monologue. The possibility of cursed challenges is endless.
