The Old Fitz Theatre is located at 129 Dowling St, Woolloomooloo, and is part of the Old Fitzroy Hotel.
It is within the Sydney CBD, a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross train station, and easily accessible from William Street.
Some street parking is available around the hotel on Cathedral and Dowling Streets. The closest parking stations are located on Riley St, Woolloomooloo and Ward Ave, Elizabeth Bay.

Once you arrive at The Old Fitzroy Hotel, you will see our Box Office on street level right near the front door to the Hotel. The Box Office opens 60 minutes prior to every performance.
Please present your email receipt (printed or on phone) and/or identification. Our Box Office staff member will give you all the information you need regarding the performance.
The theatre is located back down the stairs and through the hotel, down the set of stairs next to the kitchen.
Patrons are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the performance time. There is a strict lockout policy in place for all shows. Unfortunately latecomers are not permitted to enter the theatre once the performance has commenced.
The Old Fitz Theatre seats 55 patrons and seating is unreserved.

If you need to exit the theatre at any time during the performance, please do so through the door through which you entered. Unfortunately patrons are not be able to re-enter during the performance due to the lockout policy in place.

Ticketing for Mainstage productions at the Old Fitz Theatre operates on a Dynamic Pricing model. This means that prices will increase to a production according to demand, in order to help artists cover their costs and (ideally) have a larger profit from which to pay their artists.
This system means prices only increase in line with audience demand, and ensures we are able to provide cheaper tickets for a period whilst also making sure artists (who are often contracted on a profit share basis) get paid.
In the interest of full transparency, below is the structure of the model for 2024/2025:
FIRST WAVE (approx. 0% - 30% capacity)
Adult: $49.50 + booking fee
Concession (Pension, student, MEAA member, industry): $38.50 + booking fee
Previews and cheap Tuesday: $38.50 + booking fee
SECOND WAVE (approx. 31% - 60% capacity)
Adult: $60.50 + booking fee
Concession (Pension, student, MEAA member, industry): $49.50 + booking fee
Previews and cheap Tuesday: $38.50 + booking fee
THIRD WAVE (approx. 61% - 80% capacity)
Adult: $71.50 + booking fee
Concession (Pension, student, MEAA member, industry): $60.50 + booking fee
Previews and cheap Tuesday: $38.50 + booking fee
FOURTH WAVE (approx. 81% - 100% capacity)
Adult: $82.50 + booking fee
Concession (Pension, student, MEAA member, industry): $60.50 + booking fee
Previews and cheap Tuesday: $38.50 + booking fee
As you will be able to see, Concession tickets will never exceed $60.50, and to ensure we provide an accessible option both previews and Cheap Tuesday’s will be capped at $38.50 and will not scale.
